Dr. Katafiasz graduated from The Ohio University with a Bachelor of Science in Hearing, Speech and Language Sciences. She then went on to obtain her Doctorate of Audiology degree from University of Cincinnati, graduating in 2007. Dr. Katafiasz is licensed by The Ohio Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and has a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology. Dr. Katafiasz is also a Fellow of The American Academy of Audiology and is a member of the Ohio Speech-Language-Hearing Association. After many years of clinical experience and hearing health care, Dr. Katafiasz opened Apex Hearing Group in 2018. Apex Hearing Group was a long-time vision and a dream come true opportunity. Patient care is Dr. Katafiasz’s top priority, always striving for personal and family centered care.

When Dr. Katafiasz is not at Apex Hearing Group you will find her spending time with her four sons; Aidan, Gabe, Asher and Finley. She is often seen at a football, baseball, soccer or basketball game for her athletic and busy boys. Dr. Katafiasz also enjoys an active lifestyle with running, biking and swimming. She has run several marathons, including The Boston Marathon and the New York City Marathon and has completed two full ironman triathlons. Dr. Katafiasz is inspired by her late Mother, Judy “Jude” Katafiasz, who made her strong and independent, yet compassionate and loving.
